After a presentation at 89grad.ch, where we discussed the CKAN project in some depth - the question came up of where to find a list of all the open data portals (CKAN-powered or not) in the country. Many can be found at dataportals.org, ckan.org, and opendatainception.io. But, none of them seem to contain every portal in this country, so I am starting a simple shortlist here. Let me know which ones I miss!
The national OGD portal provides and aggregates several cantonal / city / institutional portals.
Open Transport Data Portal, from a consortium of public transport companies.
One of the first and most up-to-date portals is run by the City of Zürich.
The official portal of the Swiss Federal Railways.
Free datasets provided by Swisscom.
Access to data resources of the Swiss Post.
Access to extract information from the data cubes of the Federal Statistical Office.
Geodata provided by Swisstopo, the Federal Office of Topography.
The catalogue of the geographical service of the Canton of Geneva.
Economic indicators from the Swiss National Bank.
The open data portal of the research community at CERN.
A micro-portal that we run for our events and workshops.
PS. A nice & hacky way to look for CKAN sites is described at https://tkte.ch/2017/08/15/ckan-usage.html
PPS. What would also be useful is list of open SPARQL end-points, e.g. https://lindas-data.ch/
PPPS. if interested in a global perspective (ie. do portals make a difference?), you may wish to read:
