In November we will run the first edition of a Data Hackdays with a focus on Bern, the second largest Swiss Canton by Area, Population and GDP. We will involve local academies and communities, and are working on getting data and support from a wide range of public institutions. It is my home canton for many reasons, and I look forward to having a great location and opportunity for civic engagement
Together we can help drive the administration forward to become a smarter digital organisation at all levels, with tasks becoming more fluid and putting a wealth of information out to benefit the community. Can we become more ecological and resource-saving, increase levels of democracy, access and equal opportunities for citizens, through the better use of Data? Participate in this event and solve real-life challenges, collaborating to transform the Canton Berne for a better tomorrow.
